A flag with micro perforations for improved air permeability, ultra-slim light-diffusing lenses illuminated with LEDs, printers with a wide range of sophisticated features for digital printing and advertising technology, or removable self-adhesive foil: the winners of the viscom Best of Award offer genuine added value and demonstrate the innovative strength of the exhibitors at the International Trade Fair for Visual Communication, Technology and Design. This year, viscom is once again looking for the very best of the product innovations presented at the fair, with a view to putting them into the limelight for the approximately 11,000 expected visitors.
A limelight already familiar to last year’s winner LEDtec GmbH: “For us as a young company, the viscom Best of 2011 Award was a huge success! Thanks to the reports in the relevant trade magazines, our light panels with laser technology were widely discussed, and we were able to make interesting contacts and realise projects resulting from them! We will definitely be back again at viscom 2012 in Frankfurt”, says Marcus Zauner, Marketing Manager of LEDtec GmbH. The company impressed the jury in the Light Advertising category with its light-diffusing lenses illuminated with LEDs.
Roland DG Benelux equally benefitted from winning the award, reports Marketing Manager Timo Keersmaekers: “It is an honour to win the viscom Best of Award. The award is a great help when advertising new machines and generates additional press attention. The award will continue to be of major relevance in future. Winning the viscom Award always has a positive effect on business.” The company received the award for the VersaSTUDIO BN-20, a versatile desktop printer.
Also thoroughly satisfied is Fabian Kehrenberg of Fahnen Herold who were one of the winners in the Large Format Printing/LFP category, besides Mimaki-nbh GmbH and Neschen AG. “The main reason for competing for the viscom Award was the fact that we are very convinced of the benefits of the new material we developed. And of course we also wanted to prove our innovative spirit and demonstrate that in the field of textile advertising you can also come up with successful new products again and again, if you keep working on it. The experience gained in the meantime confirms this expectation: the STORMFRIEND flag material shows a noticeably improved durability compared to conventional materials. We were pleasantly surprised that the product was particularly well accepted in the Arab market.”
Until the middle of August, companies can still enter their products for the viscom Best of 2012 Award in the Signmaking, Large Format Printing/LFP, Light Advertising, Textile Finishing and Software categories. All exhibitors at viscom frankfurt 2012 are eligible for participation – the competition is open to both manufacturers and distributors who have obtained the manufacturer’s consent. The products entered for the award must have been launched during the period between viscom düsseldorf 2011 and viscom frankfurt 2012 (starting on 16.10.2011 and ending on 25.10.2012). The deadline for applications is 15 August 2012. The winners will be presented at viscom frankfurt 2012 during “viscom night”.
