Visionary Award Italy + Great Masters at InterCHARM MILANO 2011: in the heart of Milan two unmissable events by Alternative Hair
The two unmissable shows organized by Alternative Hair around the world are coming to Italy for the very first time. Chosen to host the Visionary Award Italy 2011 and Great Masters, in an evening in which creativity, trend and style will be the watchwords, the InterCHARM MILANO beauty fair, scheduled for 24th – 26th September in Fieramilanocity, was considered the ideal location to stage two international events like these.

Organized for the first time in 1983 by London hair stylist Tony Rizzo, after his son Valentino died of leukaemia, the Alternative Hair Show has always been an event gathering creative artists from all over the world, with the purpose of raising funds for research into leukaemia, lymphomas and other blood cancers. Alternative Hair organizes four outstanding events all over the world: Alternative Hair Show, Alternative Hair Visionary Award, Great Masters and Hair Innovation, which over the years have raised 8 million pounds.
"I am very happy to be organizing the Visionary Award and the Great Masters for the first time in Italy and to have started collaborating with Reed Exhibitions, with whom we have great plans for the future" - said Tony Rizzo, founder of Alternative Hair. "We thought a lot about which was the best location for our events, then we chose InterCHARM MILANO which we consider to be the ideal stage thanks to the great international reputation it has gained ".
The show is scheduled for Sunday, September 25th, from 5.30 pm and will be held in the Hair Theater, Hall 4, downtown Fieramilanocity.
After a brief presentation the Visionary Award Italy 2011 will start immediately. It is a special competition dedicated to the art of hair styling where awards will be assigned to the best stylists for their talents and powers of creative expression.
The finalists, selected during previous months from photos of their creations, will demonstrate their talent and "visionary skill" by dressing, making up but above all coiffing models to parade on a total look catwalk where the key word is creativity.
During the evening, after the catwalk, the magnificent Great Masters by Tony Rizzo - Sanrizz, Richard Ashforth - Saco and Gerry Santoro – Fodras and H&J, will come alive. For the first time on the same stage, three professional hair stylists will perform in a show presenting unique creations and anticipating future market trends.
Grand finale at 7.00 pm where the awards will be personally handed to the winners by the famous Anthony Mascolo, a name synonymous with creativity at international level. During the ceremony the winners of the Visionary Award Italy 2011 will be announced and they will be given the opportunity to fly to London and take part in the International Visionary Award.
Organized for all hair professionals to take the spotlight, the evening is also in aid of charity as part of the proceeds will be donated to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research (www.beatbloodcancers.org).
