MOSTRA CONVEGNO EXPOCOMFORT: ZERO-ENERGY BUILDINGS BY 2020

01 Mar 2011

MCE - MOSTRA CONVEGNO EXPOCOMFORT 2012 will propose a rich calendar of events, focusing on the themes at the heart of EU directive 20:20:20 offering a unique opportunity for professional upgrading and a discussion of the most innovative solutions in an attempt to ensure high efficiency and environmentally friendly buildings coming into existence in today’s market.

MCE – MOSTRA CONVEGNO EXPOCOMFORT, the leading International exhibition dedicated to domestic and industrial installations, air-conditioning and renewable energies will offer a busy programme of conferences and initiatives at “ZERO-ENERGY BUILDINGS BY 2020: TOWARDS BUILDING TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION.” The programme will investigate the technical and regulational aspects of energy saving in an attempt to reach the goal of a 20% saving by 2020. It will also be cost-efficiently aimed at promoting the realisation of near-zero energy buildings.

High grade integration between building envelope and installation-technology is required to ensure the high energy performance of buildings and create a new living concept, respecting energy saving requirements, real comfort, and the protection of the environment. The growing correlation between plants and buildings is the core of the planning approach, based on the coordination between architecture and plant engineering, to better respond to high energy efficiency requirements for buildings with a low environmental impact. These are the future challenges for buyers, designers, installers and businesses as well as the key issues featured by MCE 2012.

“We put much emphasis on a subject of great impact to provide a unique opportunity for professional upgrading aimed at the vast audience of professionals, who every two years turn to the exhibition as the international benchmark event for everything related to the future growth of the entire industry”.

MCE is the privileged platform for investigating thoroughly the themes of energy saving and efficiency offering a complete overview on the latest generation of products and installation solutions, focussed on the themes of the directive 20:20:20 that provides for the integration of buildings and plants. Heating and air-conditioning are among the fundamental features aimed to make high efficiency buildings and to develop a project centred on man and environment” declared Massimiliano Pierini Exhibition Director of MCE.

Therefore, the common thread of the rich programme of conferences taking place at MCE 2012 will be “ZERO-ENERGY BUILDINGS BY 2020:TOWARDS BUILDING TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION” organized in collaboration with the Exhibition Scientific Committee, chaired by Polytechnic of Milan Best Department, and the new Promoter Committee, made up of the main trade associations and organizations representing the industry’s entire manufacturing sector at the exhibition.

With an entirely new format, MCE 2012 will provide a unique opportunity for professional upgrading aimed at the broad audience of players in the reference sector. A busy programme of conferences will join “PERCORSO EFFICIENZA & INNOVAZIONE” and “VERSO LA CLASSE A 2012”, two initiatives that came to a close with a very positive balance in 2010, put together as guides for professionals involved in energy efficiency projects offering a full overview of materials, products and services for a better integration between building and installation and for reaching 2020 goals.

The current popular issues to be tackled during the conferences, events and initiatives that will tie in with the main areas of the exhibition are; Heating, Cooling, Water and Energy. Leading manufacturing and distribution businesses will showcase high-tech innovative solutions combined with domestic habitat design trends to create a new culture of comfort. In particular, MCE 2012 will be dedicating a project specifically to photovoltaics, which foresees an exhibition area and a busy programme of workshops and conferences, put together to provide training and professional development opportunities on the fastest growing renewable energy sector.

Energy saving and efficiency will be the drivers of MCE 2012 and will offer a series of initiatives all around Italy, leading exhibitors and visitors throughout the exhibition. The first scheduled appointment – arranged in collaboration with Energy Strategy Group of Managerial Engineering - Polytechnic of Milan – and dedicated to photovoltaics, will take place in May 2011 in Milan.

This will be followed by “The 1st National Forum on Building Energy Certification” – organized in collaboration with CTI (Italian Thermo-technical Committee) – and scheduled for June 2011 in Milan again, will focus on the relationship between Regions and energy certification.

Meanwhile, MCE will provide users with online news appearing not only on the exhibition website but also on Facebook and Twitter.
