JCK Toronto, to take place on August 7-9, 2011 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, is gearing up to offer the Canadian marketplace an excellent sourcing and buying opportunity in late summer. Whether it's to add to existing inventory or to firm up purchasing commitments for the holiday buying season, more than 150 designers and manufacturers will be showcasing the collections and merchandise that define and excite Canadian consumers. JCK Toronto's convenient downtown location allows industry professionals to bring their colleagues and maximize their time out of their stores.
The premiere Canadian jewellery event is assembling a robust line-up of companies who are showing their new brands and collections including: 1010-Watches; Acar Aba Altin Kuyumculuk Ins. Turizm San Ve Tic. Ltd.; AV Diamonds/Price Point Leader; Barbie™ Rocks by Layna & Alan Friedman; Canadian Gem; Chamilia; Comex; Corona; Danhov; HRA Group; JSN; Kin Chang Gems; KJD Jewellers; Master Designs Jewellery Inc. Canada, Orau Pearls; RAJWARAH Jewellers Pvt. Ltd.; Revabella and SK Diamonds.
"Following the successful launch of our brands in Europe, we decided to bring them to Canada. The watch brands that we represent offer a wide range of models that are appealing to a large audience," said Victor Canete, President, 10:10 Watches. "When we did our market research, we determined that the greater Toronto area was the best place in Canada to introduce our watch brands. Since JCK Toronto takes place in the heart of the city of Toronto, it makes perfect sense for us to participate in this event. We think that the show is going to allow us to reach a large number of buyers in just few days which would have otherwise taken us several months of hard work to get the same result."
Sponsored by the Canadian Jewellers Association, JCK Toronto offers the Canadian jewellery marketplace with a face-to-face opportunity to network and conduct business.
"JCK Toronto is less than two months away and the members of the Canadian Jewellers Association are looking forward to the opportunity to gather," said David Ritter, President & CEO of the Canadian Jewellers Association (CJA). "JCK Toronto is one of the most productive ways for our members to network, share good ideas and challenges and conduct the Association's business. I encourage all of our members to join us in August."
Education sessions being offered will feature two keynote presentations. The first, "The Model Store for the New Economy," will be presented by Brad Huisken, IAS Training to be held on Sunday, Aug. 7th and the second, "How to Become Social Media Savvy" will be presented on Monday, Aug. 8th. The remaining sessions will cover sales, several sessions on gemstones and selling colored stones, partnering with local businesses to drive customers to your store, responsible jewellery practices and selling bridal.
A full slate of special events are planned to bring the industry together. A Featured Product Showcase, bringing to light new and signature pieces and collections making their debut, will be on the show floor. There will also be an Opening Night Welcome Reception that allows for new business relationships to flourish and honors the recipient of the CJA Chairman's award. These events are located on the show floor and the AGS returns with a repeat engagement of the annual, by-invitation only, cocktail reception. Retailers will also be encouraged to vote for the Retailers' Choice Award, celebrating the Best New Product at JCK Toronto.
"JCK Toronto brings the best of the JCK Events portfolio to Toronto," said John Tierney, Event Director, JCK Toronto. "We offer so many of the same business-building elements of the JCK portfolio with a customized presentation for Canada. We build the event with the Canadian marketplace - first and foremost - and there's no better place in the Provinces for suppliers and exhibitors to grow their businesses, learn from best practices, and network with their peers, customers and prospects. We look forward to taking Toronto by storm this year!"
