Melco Crown Entertainment’s Akiko Takahashi To Address Attendees During Keynote Event
Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia) 2011 will again offer the Gaming Management Certificate program to help new casino managers in Asia further their knowledge of current gaming trends in Macau and equip themselves with the tools to succeed in today’s growing and dynamic Asian gaming industry. Produced in partnership with the University of Macau and the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Singapore campus, this special offering includes a keynote address and a full day of professional development workshops. The G2E Asia Gaming Management Certificate program will be held Thursday, June 9 at the Venetian Macao, in Macau S.A.R., People’s Republic of China.
“One of the unique features of G2E Asia is its Gaming Management Certificate program, which is a career development program specifically tailored for gaming supervisors and managers,” said Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., president and CEO of the American Gaming Association. “The University of Macau and UNLV Singapore have joined forces with us again this year to provide these future gaming leaders with the education and tools they need to advance their careers.”
The 2011 G2E Asia Gaming Management Certificate program will kick off with a keynote address from Akiko Takahashi, executive vice president and chief human resources and corporate social responsibility officer at Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd. Takahashi will provide attendees with his insights into how they can build a successful career as an executive in the gaming industry.
Following the keynote address, the program will include a full day of professional development workshops designed specifically for new casino managers and supervisors. The expert-led sessions will help attendees gain the professional and leadership skills and knowledge to thrive in the gaming industry. The first session, “Leadership Fundamentals: The Broad Spectrum,” will feature experts explaining the skills, traits and talents that make a good leader. The second session, “The Macau Moment: Specific Leadership Principles,” will use current and past Macau leaders as examples of people who embody the qualities necessary to be successful in today's S.A.R. The third session, “Gaming Management Tool Box: Leadership in Action” will provide attendees with information to help them gather, analyze and apply the tools they have learned in order to help move an organization forward.
Enrollment for the G2E Asia Gaming Management Certificate program is limited in order to give attendees a more interactive and individualized learning experience. Gaming professionals who attend the program will receive an official certificate of completion from G2E Asia, the University of Macau and UNLV Singapore.
