Products, technologies and processes that are new but already tested in the market – this is what the viscom BEST of AWARD, which the trade fair is presenting for the fifth time this year, stands for. Once again, all companies exhibiting at viscom can take part. The award is therefore an additional platform for the exhibitors to present their ideas to an expert public. “For us, the award is first of all a means to show appreciation to our exhibitors”, says viscom Director Petra Lassahn. “After all, it is they who, year after year, make viscom a trade fair of novelties.”
Prizes will be awarded in five categories in 2011. The Textile Printing category will now be replaced by the more narrowly defined Textile Finishing. Here the spectrum ranges from transfer printing to flaking right through to embroidery. The background to this decision is the fact that there had been frequent overlapping in the past between digital and textile printing. Digital textile printing is now included in the Large Format Printing category. The remaining three categories are already familiar: Signmaking (machines, materials, tools and assembly processes for the production of advertising technology products), Light advertising (machines, materials, tools and assembly processes) und Software (RIP, workflow, company solutions, cutting software).
Exhibitors at viscom düsseldorf 2011 are eligible for participation – for both manufacturers and distributors who have obtained consent from the manufacturer. The market launch of the products that are entered in the competition must have occurred in the period between viscom frankfurt 2010 and viscom düsseldorf 2011 (from 07.11.2010 to 15.10.2011). The deadline for registration is 1 July 2011. The winners will be presented to the public and the press at viscom düsseldorf 2011 during viscom night.
