The collaboration will last for three years and is intended to promote the trade show held at the beginning of the year
After many months of negotiations, the organisers of the Expo Reclam show, Reed Exhibitions Iberia, and industry associations Fyvar (Spanish acronym for the Association of Advertising Item Manufacturers and Vendors) and Aimfap (Spanish acronym for the Association of Promotional Item Importers, Wholesalers and Manufacturers) have signed a long-term cooperation agreement aimed at comprehensively promoting the development of the Expo Reclam show. The trade fair, which is held in Madrid, is the most important in Southern Europe.
On Tuesday, 22 May, representatives of the two organisations and the management of Reed Exhibitions Iberia, organiser of the event, met in Valencia. The purpose of the meeting was to define the framework for collaboration among the three parties, in pursuit of a single improved trade show event. The cooperation agreement, which will remain in force for three years, is primarily intended to unite the interests of the parties in order to promote and develop the most important promotional marketing industry event on the Iberian Peninsula, Expo Reclam. The show is also the number two event in Europe.
In addition, Fyvar and Aimfap member companies that take part in upcoming editions of Expo Reclam will receive additional benefits from their participation in the show, optimising their investment.
Expo Reclam has a history of 24 successful editions held in the Spanish capital. The current environment has led the associations to work with the event organisers in order to further stimulate, promote and energise an event which throughout its history has provided significant benefits for attendees, as it brings together 90% of the supply and demand in one place.
Expo Reclam 2013
Reed Exhibitions, the event organiser, will shortly be releasing full details of the next edition, which will take place in February 2013 at the Feria de Madrid trade show venue. Among the most important agreements reached with the organisations is the establishment of a special rate for members of both associations, with significant benefits when booking space. Furthermore, we are also working together to advance dates in order to have the show during January 2013.
In order to bring together the full range of supply and demand at a single event, Expo Reclam 2013, following the recommendations of the industry organisations, Reed Exhibitions Iberia has decided to discontinue the Expo Reclam Xmas show scheduled for 5 and 6 September, 2012. In light of today's economy and in the absence of a very promising situation, the event organisers have decided to announce that the event will be suspended until it can be convened at a time which will ensure complete success for both exhibitors and visitors.
